Clinton Noel

Clinton "Bud" Noel, 91, passed away October 14, 2011 at Davis Hospice Center. He was born March 19,1920 in Wayne County, Iowa to Bert and Maude Noel. Mr. Noel served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Mayo DD 422 and saw action in Casablanca, Africa; Salerno, Italy and Anzio, Italy, where he received the Purple Heart for wounds received in action. Mr. Noel also served in the US Air Force and US Army prior to his retirement. He was a life member in the VFW Post 1881 and American Legion Post 6. Mr. Noel is survived by a son Wayne Noel of Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Kathy Koonce and her husband Jim of Olympia, Washington; a son Michael Noel and his wife Luana of Carpenter, Wyoming; a son Guy Noel of Cheyenne, Wyoming and numerous grandchildren, great-grand children and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Noel. Visitation will be Tuesday 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Schrader Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at Beth El Cemetery with the Reverend Max Kaser officiating.
