Constance "Penny" J. Johnson, 77, of Cheyenne died March 24, 2015 at Cheyenne Healthcare. She was born November 18, 1937 in Cheyenne to Bryan and Rose Cook. She was employed since January 1, 1980 with the Department of Family Services. Penny was also a public assistance worker while she worked for the state. She was known for her endless compassion with her clients, and was known for giving clients money from her own pocket to clients that needed food for their babies or for prescriptions. Penny was well known for her endless compassion. She is survived by her son, Charles Johnson and David B. Johnson of Cheyenne; siblings, Kenneth (Connie) Cook and Melissa (Jim) Lieske all of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael F. Cook. In lieu of flowers and because of her love of animals, donations may be made to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter of a charity of choice. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and private family services will be held.
