Cristie Lee Vialpando (Malson) was lovingly called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 31, 2024, at the age of 67. She leaves behind a vibrant legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her mother, Bonnie Lee, her devoted husband of 48 years, Anthony Vialpando, and their three beloved children: Toni Lynn Rodriguez, her son Casey Lee and his fiancée, Stephanie Gorman, and daughter Kelly Montejano and her husband Frank. Cristie also adored her eight wonderful grandchildren—Micah, Madison, Kiko, Malachi, Lily, Jennica, Caleb, and Annalie—who brought her endless joy.
Cristie was born on June 26, 1957, to George and Bonnie Malson. It was during her time at Rawlins High School that she met Anthony, her soulmate, leading to a beautiful union on May 15, 1976. In 1995, the family made Cheyenne their home, where Cristie embraced the roles of loving mother and grandmother, creating countless treasured memories. She delighted in family gatherings, bowling, and playing softball, sharing her joyous spirit and warmth with everyone around her. Her granddaughter Micah affectionately dubbed her “Mimi,” a title that embodies the love and adoration felt by all her grandchildren.
A spirited Wyoming Cowboys and Denver Broncos fan, Cristie balanced her passions with her deep faith. She placed her hope in Jesus Christ and finds comfort in being reunited in heaven with her father, George, her son-in-law Richard Rodriguez, and her grandson, Malachi Rodriguez.
Cristie will be dearly missed by her siblings, Michael and Kay Malson, Cindy and Chuck Thompson, Patrick Malson, and by her many friends and beloved church family. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A memorial service to honor Cristie's life and legacy will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Family Harvest Church, located at 320 W 23rd St, Cheyenne, WY. In celebrating Cristie’s extraordinary life, we embrace the love she shared and the faith she exemplified, knowing she is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.
