D. Kaphengst

D. Madeline Kaphengst, 81, of Cheyenne died March 20, 2013 in Cheyenne. She was born October 4, 1931 in Wilson, OK to Arthur G. and Dora Lee. She married Hank Kaphengst on August 23, 1971 in LaPorte, CO. She was the Capitol Receptionist for the State of Wyoming. She was instrumental in starting the collection of "First Lady" dolls, which continues today. She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Alpha Club and XJWC. She is survived by her husband, Hank Kaphengst of Cheyenne; children, John rice of South Berwick, Maine, Diane Tounzen of Waco, TX, Daniel Kaphengst of Cheyenne; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and private family services have been held.
