Dale Eugene Reiber, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died on September 23, 2018 at his home. Dale was born on July 20, 1951 in Newcastle, PA to Donald and Juanita Reiber. Dale was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School before continuing on to complete a BA Education, MA Special Education, MFA American Studies/Southwest Cultures and PHD a.b.d Anthropology. He taught special education and owned a bicycle and toy shop in Thatcher, Arizona before moving to Cheyenne in 1982. He was a beloved teacher of special education, history and anthropology at East and Central High Schools from 1982 until his retirement in 2008. In the summers he owned and operated My Favorite Painters and put his mark on many Cheyenne homes. He is survived by his ex-wife, Sunny Reiber of Cheyenne; daughter, Bailey (Kit) Clunis of Denver, CO; son, Jacob (Stacey) Reiber of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Emalynn, Rylee and Everett Reiber and Kai Clunis; sister, Marlene (Pat) Read; niece, Jennifer Vest; and nephew, Chris Read. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dale was an avid bicyclist and completed a solo coast-to-coast ride for charity in 1981. He was a collector of antiques, Southwestern art/rugs and stamps. His other hobbies included photography, birdwatching, music, travel and stock trading. As a teacher, Dale loved the ability to spend summers with his children and was very involved in their activities and sports as a coach and cheerleader. A memorial reception will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center Community Room, 415 West 18th Street, Cheyenne. His family requests no flowers or gifts.
