Dale Wadleigh

Dale LeRoy Wadleigh, 80, was called home by his Lord and Savior, on May 21, 2019. His family and friends celebrate his change of address (Heaven is his eternal home). He was born May 15, 1939, in Clark, South Dakota, to Elmer and Mabel Wadleigh. He grew up, one of five boys, on a farm in Eastern, South Dakota. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1957. He loved his country and respected all who served. Dale received his Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines, and then a Master's of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and "papa". He is survived by his wife, Vangie Wadleigh; his children Cindy, Teresa Ontman, Jeanette (Cody) Nusbaum, Christopher (Jacklyn) Humphrey, and Misty (Matthew) Hall; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Jerry (Darlene) Wadleigh, Gene (Cynthia) Wadleigh; and two sisters-in-law Roseline Wadleigh and Karen Wadleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers David and Richard. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 3p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 3501 Forest Drive, with a party to follow.
