Daniel Gibson Corbin, 88, of Cheyenne went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 23, 2016 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1927 in Englewood, CO to Charles and Lula Mae Corbin. He retired as an assistant superintendent with the public utilities industry. He was active in the Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church, RSVP Volunteers, Cheyenne Antique Bottle Club and the Wyoming State Museum. He was an avid collector of antique bottles and historical artifacts, and an amateur geologist and historian. He married Virginia Childers in 1947 and together they had two daughters. After Virginia's death in 1958, Dan married Peggy Vertz on August 23, 1959 in Cheyenne. With Peggy's two children and Dan's two children, they became a blended family with four young children, ages 3, 4, 7 and 9 years of age. Dan is survived by his wife, Peggy Corbin of Cheyenne; children, Jeanette Corbin of Brush, CO, Christine Corbin of Boise, ID, Debi (and husband Michael) Brillard of Red Feather Lakes, and David Corbin; grandchildren, Logan Brillard, Lainee Schultze and Brianna Allen; and a great-grandson, Leland Adams. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Virginia, and a brother, Channing Corbin. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church or charity of their choice. Memorial Services and a celebration of Dan's life will be Wednesday, January 27th at 10:30 a.m at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
