Darryl Kennedy

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Schrader Chapel with Pastor Ed Fugate officiating. Cremation has taken place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory. Darryl Kennedy, 74, of Cheyenne died October 5, 2010 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1936 in Manzanola, Colo. to Orville W. and Lois Kennedy. He married Irene Buchholtz on April 22, 1977 in Cheyenne. He was an electrician and owned Ken-Mac Electric. He was a member of IBEW Local # 415. He is survived by his wife, Irene Kennedy of Cheyenne; son, Doug Kennedy of Augusta, GA; daughter, Barbara Fuller of Cheyenne; step-sons, Don Buchholtz of Rawlins, Duke Buchholtz, Nederland, CO; step-daughters, Pat Taylor of Rawlins and Bonnie Nilsen of Poulsbo, WA; brothers, Wayne Kennedy of Enosburg, VT, Jim Kennedy of Cheyenne; sisters, Helen Knudson of San Manuel, AZ, Lyla Nunamaker of Tucson, AZ, Linda Cassat of Cheyenne, Sharon Buffington of Cheyenne, 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, Orville & Lois Kennedy; brother, Ernest Kennedy; sister, Phyllis Little; and a step-son, Alan Buchholtz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Electrical Apprentice Fund at IBEW Local # 415.
