David “Dean” Pearson peacefully passed away at a family home on March 26, 2024. Born in Simpson, Kansas in 1930, he remained there throughout his school years and into young adulthood. At 21, Dean bravely joined the Army during the Korean War, serving from 1951-1953. Dean eventually made his way to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he settled in and made the town his permanent home. Throughout his life, he found immense joy in restoring cars, building houses, mastering the greens in golf, and cherishing moments with his loved ones. Known for his kind, caring, and approachable demeanor, Dean never met a stranger. He is survived by his three children, Mike, Pat (Michelle-daughter-in-law), and Christy, and his adored grandsons Braden and Jase. Dean will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with his wishes, services will remain private. Those who wish to honor his life may donate to the Gary Sinise Foundation. The foundation builds specially adapted smart homes for veterans from all campaigns who are aging, ill, wounded, or severely injured. Donations can be made at www.garysinisefoundation.org/rise.
