On Thursday January 25, 2024; in the early hours of the morning; a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather passed away quietly and peacefully in the Davis Hospice facility in Cheyenne Wyoming. David Milford Weissinger.
Dave was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 10, 1940. He proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force; doing two tours in Vietnam. Dave believed in not only serving his country but also his community. He was one of the three founders of the FE Warren 5th Calvary Reorganized, which represented the state of Wyoming at two presidential inaugural parades. Dave also worked for 20 years as a Wagon Doc on the Cheyenne Frontier Days parades committee. He helped found the Cheyenne Gunslingers, Cheyenne Regulators (A SASS Organization), and he was also a member of the Wyoming Patriot Guard Riders.
Dave is survived by sons Glenn R. Reed Jr. and Shawn Villalpando. Grandsons Merle Allen Seese and his wife Danielle, Mathew R. Reed and his wife Alyssa, eight Great-Grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty, his father and mother Harry and Marjorie, his sister Linda, and his nephew Tony Esposito.
The family will be gathering Friday February 16 at Cheyenne National Cemetery at 1PM to honor and commit Dave to his final resting place alongside Betty.
