David "Pop" Barnes

David Lynn "Pop" Barnes, 72, of Cheyenne, Wyoming was born on October 23, 1946 to Barry and Irene (Maples) Barnes in Mount Enterprise, Texas. He passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2019 at home. David was the third of three children. He married Mary Heard in 1969 and they had four children, Jackie, Jimmy, Jenell and Joyce. After he was widowed in 2009, he moved to Wyoming to live near his oldest son. He said the only thing he did wrong after moving to Wyoming was he didn't do it soon enough! He found love again with Judy Jacobs and they were married for four years. David is survived by his wife, Judy; children and spouses, Jackie (Terri), Jimmy (Lisa), and Joyce (Dexter) Robinson; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; his wife, Mary; and daughter, Jenell. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
