Dean Nidelkoff

Dean W. Nidelkoff, 76, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, March 26, 2013. Mr. Nidelkoff was born September 7, 1936, in Cheyenne, son of the late Andy and Ruby Nidelkoff. Dean was a graduate of Cheyenne High School and served for a period of time in the United States Naval Reserve. He was a sheet metal worker for a number of years with Sheet Metal Local #207 and following his retirement, he enjoyed being in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed hunting pheasants and big game. He also loved to spend time at his favorite fishing spot - Miracle Mile, and he enjoyed tying his own flies. Dean is survived by his son, Michael D. Nidelkoff of Cheyenne; his daughter, Stacey L. Bittinger, and husband, Jim, of Westminster, CO; three grandchildren, Thomas Bittinger of Briggsdale, CO, Jason Bittinger of Westminster, CO, and Amy Bittinger of Westminster, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents; his third wife, Meta (Manley) Nidelkoff; his sister, Nancy Peterson; his niece, Lori McKoon; and his favorite dog, Freckles. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with a reception to immediately follow at the Schrader Reception Center. A private family interment will be held at Beth El Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Dean's memory may be made to one's charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
