Della Johnson

Following cremation at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory, a memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, December 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel with The Reverend Delbert Hansen officiating. A celebration of her life will take place at Don D. Johnson’s home at 3934 Meadow Dove Lane, Cheyenne, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Sunday preceding the services. Visitation will take place from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the Schrader Funeral Home. Della Mae (Tiney) Johnson, 92, of Cheyenne, passed away on December 10, 2009 at Mountain Towers Healthcare after an extended illness. She was born Della Mae Shriner on March 21, 1917 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Della will always be known for her love of camping, fishing, playing poker with her grandchildren (where they fondly called her Tiger Lil) and spending time with her family. She is survived by her brothers, Bill Shriner, Wilbert Shriner and Henry Shriner of Cheyenne; her daughter, Loretta McVay and husband, Leonard; daughter-in-law, Margie Johnson; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Della was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lenard G. Johnson; a son, Don D. Johnson; and several siblings.
