Dena Joyce Sandy

Dena Joyce Sandy, 54, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by family and friends. Joyce was born September 5, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to William and Erdene (Beeson) Sandy. Joyce made friends everywhere she lived including Aurora, CO, Maywood, NE, and Cheyenne. She will be remembered for her huge heart, generosity and ready smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Joyce is survived by her father, William Sandy; a sister, Jeanette (Lyle) Gosnell; a brother, Brian Sandy; nephews, Justin (Kim) Gosnell, Jason (Julie) Gosnell, Jake and Connor Gosnell; a niece, Emma (John) Shinnick; and many aunts, uncles, great- nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She will also be greatly missed by special friends, Chet and Glenda Mills. Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Erdene Sandy; and grandparents, Lena and Roy Beeson and Frank and Emma Sandy. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader Reception Center, 2222 Russell Ave. The family requests that donations be made to the Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82009.
