Dennis D Haas

Dennis Duane Haas 76 of Cheyenne passed away on December 10, 2023 in the VA Community Living Center in Cheyenne.  He was born on March 12, 1947, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Bernard and Hazel (Linhart) Haas of Veteran, Wyoming.

Dennis was raised on a farm near Veteran, Wyoming.  He graduated from Veteran High School in 1966.  Dennis was a basketball player and an outstanding cattle showman.  Dennis showed his beloved Angus cattle for a few years after high school then he joined the Wyoming Army National Guard.   Eventually Dennis became a full-time National Guard Recruiter.  Dennis retired from the Guards after more than twenty years of service.

Dennis spent the last seven years of his life as a member of the VA Community Living Center in Cheyenne.

He is survived by his brothers  Stanley (Gail) of Leland, North Carolina and Gary (Mickie) Haas of Torrington, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Hazel Haas.

Cremation has taken place, and no funeral services are planned.  He will be buried at a later date in Carpenter, Wyoming.
