Derek Baumgardner

Derek Dean Baumgardner, 60, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mr. Baumgardner was born June 20, 1955, in Columbus, Montana, a son of Donald D. and Barbara A. (Wissler) Baumgardner. Derek served honorably in the Wyoming Air National Guard. He worked as a mechanic for Discount Tire and Service form many years. His love of the outdoors included hunting, fishing, camping, boating, snow machining, and tinkering on cars at home. Derek is survived by his daughter, Heather Baumgardner of Big Spring, TX; his mother, Barbara Baumgardner of Cheyenne; two sisters, Venessa Mueller of Lakewood, CO, and Candida Bilowski of Elk River, MN; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, and a son, Drew D. Baumgardner. His family will hold a celebration of Derek's life on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at 3314 Dillon Avenue, Cheyenne.
