Mr. Dominic A. Sara, 62, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Dominic was born December 19, 1947, in Cheyenne, a son of William and Carmie (Lucia) Sara. Dominic served honorably in the Air National Guard for 31 years. He began his career as a machinist and after achieving his associate’s degree, he became a fabrication supervisor. He retired at the age of 47 as a SMsgt. He was a wonderful man who had a great passion for music. He could do it all. Some would say that he was a one man band. His most favorite instrument to play was the bass guitar. He enjoyed playing so much that you could often find him with his good friend, Kenny Osban, at what they called serious jam sessions. At times, he would play some gigs around Cheyenne and at parties for family members and friends. Dominic enjoyed his retirement by spending some of his time with his many friends at the Moose Club or the VFW, Post #4343. Not one person had anything bad to say about Dominic. He could be described as a good guy who was fun to be around. He was also a family man and was married to his wife and soul mate, Julie, for 33 years. They have two wonderful children, Amanda and Mario, who have families of their own. He also had the kindest of hearts. He did everything for his family. Every day he would faithfully visit his parents, and even after the death of his father, William Sara, he continued to visit his mother, Carmie Sara, and helped her with anything that she needed. He will be forever in our hearts and prayers. Dominic is survived by his loving wife, Julie A. Sara; his mother, Carmie L. Sara; his brother, Michael Joseph Sara; his daughter, Amanda A. Pelto and husband, Robert; his son, Mario A. Sara and wife, Lisa; four grandchildren, Sara A. Scritchfield, Kaylee A. Pelto, Alex JR Pelto, and Antonio D. Sara; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, William Sara on August 29, 2005.
