Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Schrader Chapel with Chaplain Dave Stratton officiating. Committal services will follow in Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Tuesday, May 25, 2010, noon until 2:00 p.m. Donald R. Chick of Cheyenne died May 20, 2010 in Cheyenne. He was born January 25, 1937 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Syms Ben and Bertha Lue (Simms) Chick. Don was a member of the Local Plumbers and Pipefitters Union #145 from April 18, 1958-1961, then local #192 from February 20, 1961 through 2010. He then was the owner of Certified Welding Corporation from 1969 until 2005. He worked on many sites in Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and South Dakota. He married Carolyn Bell in 1955, they were later divorced. He is survived by his loving & devoted companion, Loretta Humphrey of Cheyenne; son, Don Cameron Chick of Cheyenne; daughter Kelly Jo Chick of Cheyenne; granddaughter Jo Don Bolton and her husband, Robert Ryan of Cheyenne; three great grandchildren, Camryn, Caden and Caleb Bolton of Cheyenne; brother, Jerry Dale (Judy) Chick of Glade Park, CO; sisters, Donna Faye (Gordon) Morgan of Boise, ID and Vicky Lynn Chick of Fruita, CO; Loretta’s children, Melinda Humphrey of Cheyenne, Brian Humphrey, Pamela Humphrey, Dayton Abbott all of Colorado Springs, CO; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lynn Chick; his parents; sister, Wilma Lee Humphries; and his former wife, Carolyn.
