Donald Phillips

Donald L. Phillips, 78, of Burns died September 19, 2014 in Burns. He was born August 6, 1936 in Burns, WY to Raymond and Ottie Phillips. He married Rosie Garcia on May 22, 1999 in Santa Barbara, CA. He was a veteran serving in the US Army. He retired from GTE Telephone Company. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Phillips of Burns; children, Scott Phillips of Santa Barbara, CA and Leanne Vigil of Lompoc, CA; step-children, Michael Alvarado of Santa Barbara, CA, Richard Alvarado of Broomfield, CO and Ginger Jordan of San Francisco, CA; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Lyle Phillips, Larry Phillips and Betty Branson. Those who wish may contribute to the Burns Ambulance Fund. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Lakeview chapel at Schrader Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Ave. followed by a reception in the Schrader Reception Center.
