Donald Gerald Querry Sr.

Don was born November 26, 1928, in South Bend Indiana to Floyd and Mazelle (Polley) Querry. He fell asleep in death August 2, 2023, at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland, Wyoming. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Fannie whom he married on May 1, 1948.

Don symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism in July 1943 and from that time until his physical and mental strength no longer permitted, he was very active in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. For the next 35 years, Don and Fannie lived in and near South Bend zealously serving in different congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in that area as they were asked to assist them. This gave them the opportunity to be known and loved by many dear friends in many places.

In 1978 they moved to Wheatland to be near their son and daughter-in-law Don Jr. and Linda, and their only grandchildren at the time, Jason, and Joshua. At one time they were asked to move to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to be of assistance to that congregation for a time. As was their custom, they gladly did so, again gaining new and dearly loved friends there. We are comforted that they have both now truly "fought the fine fight" and 'run the race to the finish' (2 Timothy 4:7).

In addition to his wife Fannie, Don was also preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Miriam, Bernice, Charles, Opal, Shirley, and Robert.

In addition to many nieces and nephews and their families, Don is survived by his son Don Jr. and his wife Linda of Wheatland, and three grandchildren: Jason Querry and wife Jenny and their daughters Meredith and Morgan of Wheatland, Joshua Querry and his wife Jocey and their daughters Omni and Adelaide of Jackson Wyoming, and Johannah (Querry) Niemi and her husband Jason and their son Gunner of Wheatland.
