Donald Shrove

Donald Joe Shrove, 84, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in Cheyenne. Donald was born in Grand Island, Nebraska, on January 3, 1932, a son of Joseph and Ella Mae (Woods) Shrove. Donald moved to Cheyenne with his family in October of 1937 when his father was transferred by the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a graduate of Cheyenne High School, Class of 1951. He married Anna Jane Roberts in Wellington, Colorado, on June 30, 1956. He retired from the State of Wyoming on November 1, 1994, having 38 ½ years of service as a print technologist. He was very active in Acacia Lodge #11, A.F & A.M., Wyoming Consistory, Korean Shrine, Cheyenne Shrine Club, and the Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and Laramie County Senior Services. Donald is survived by his children, Dawn Marie Greve and husband, John, of Norfolk, NE, Roy John Shrove and wife, Glecy, of San Antonio, TX, Karen Lynn Fisher of Manchester, TN, Bryan Robert Shrove and wife, Wendy, of Cheyenne, and Sherri Ann Shrove of Cheyenne; siblings, Marion F. Shrove, James R. Shrove and Nancy Dilka; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Anna Jane Shrove, on June 1, 2012. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated on Monday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. A private interment service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Donald's memory may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
