Donald Solomon

Donald "Don" Solomon, 68, of Cheyenne died July 3, 2012 in Cheyenne. He was born June 4, 1944 in Lamar, CO to George and Dorothy Solomon. He married Carol McGuire on March 3, 1992 in Cheyenne. He was a retired conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Christian Faith, American Modeler's Association and the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Carol Solomon, daughters, Donella Betts of Cheyenne and Donetta Tanner of Cheyenne; step children, Mitchell McGuire of Albuquerque, NM, Marie Dunston of Maine, and Carolyn McGuire of Denver, CO; ten grandchildren; brother, Robert Solomon of Vancouver, BC, Canada and a sister, Georgia Blomgren of Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Solomon. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, 800 Southwest Dr., Cheyenne, WY 82007. A visitation will be Monday noon until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Schrader Chapel with Rev. Dave Stratton officiating. Cremation will follow under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
