Donald Thompson,84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 20, 2019, in Cheyenne. He had lived in Cheyenne since 1957. He was born, November 19, 1935, in Byers, Kansas, along with his twin sister Donna. Don retired from the Wyoming Highway Department after 32 years. He served in the U.S. Army with active duty in Germany. After returning to the U.S. he served in the Wyoming Reserves for a total of 26 years. Donald married his wife, Sarah on May 27, 1960. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Roy Thompson; granddaughter, Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by a son, Todd; daughter, Lynette; parents, Henry and Anna Thompson; brothers, George (Ethel) Stotts, Ray Stotts, Henry "Hank" (Bertie) Stotts, Fred Leroy (June) Stotts, Robert (Dorothy) Thompson, James (Ruby) Thompson, Cliff Thompson; sisters, Faye Stotts, Florence (Irvin) Vance, Dorothy (Marion) Laird, Irene (James) Garvin and Donna (Richard) Hansen. Private family services will be held at a later date. Those who wish may contribute to the charity of their choice in his memory.
