Doris Ley

Mrs. Doris L. (Dunkin) Ley, 80, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Mrs. Ley was born May 1, 1934, in Loveland, Colorado, a daughter of the late Harold H. and Sylvia M. (David) Dunkin. Doris enjoyed caring for her home and her family. She also worked as a cook for the Hitching Post and Bowl-A-Rama. Her many interests included making crafts, collecting decorative apples, gardening and bird watching. She will be remembered as a grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Doris is survived by three children, Leon Ley of Arlington, TX, Lanny Ley (Kim), of Cheyenne, and Leona Philip of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Robert Carney (Shanita), Tracy Raybuck (Philip), David Ley and Jeff Ley; and six great-grandchildren, Tara Raybuck, Tyler Raybuck, Kaleb Philip, Nicholas Friends, Teagan Carney and Savannah Carney. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard J. Ley in 2003; a grandson, Troy Philip; a sister, Donna Probst; and two brothers, Harold Dunkin and Eldon Dunkin. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home with Chaplain Donald Blomberg officiating. An interment service will be held at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at the Schrader Reception Center.
