Dorothea Ward

Dorothea P. Ward, 85, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield. Dorothea was born March 28, 1932, in Delphos, Ohio, a daughter of the late Arville and Laura (Patton) Miller. In 1946, the family moved to Cheyenne, WY. Dorothea was a graduate of Cheyenne St. Mary's High School. After high school she worked for the Highway Department. She returned to Delphos in 1960. Dottie was legal secretary for Shenk and Clark. In1983, Dorothea returned to Cheyenne. She worked as a paralegal for Hirst & Applegate. Her many interests included reading, embroidery, square dancing and visiting with family members and friends. Dorothea is survived by her children, Laura Ward of Cheyenne and Timothy (Chrissy) Ward of West Jefferson, OH; sister, Jo Chamberlain of Peoria, AZ; brother, Michael Miller of Nampa, ID; and granddaughter, Ellie Ward of Columbus, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eugene Miller and Patrick Miller. A private celebration of Dorothea's life will be held in May.
