Dorothy Berry

Dorothy Berry, 87, of Cheyenne, died October 20, 2013. Dorothy was born August 30, 1926, and raised on her family's ranch in the Little Bear Community south of Chugwater. She married D.C. Berry on December 4, 1946. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his death in 2010. She was a member of Laramie County Cow-Belles, Friendly Folks Extension Club, and Chapter Z PEO. Dorothy led a Christian life of faith made perfect by her works. Her faithful service to God was demonstrated by her countless hours of work at the First United Methodist Church. She was a "doer of the Word." If there were times of discouragement, as there are for us all, we never saw them, only her beautiful smile and willing spirit. She is survived by three sons, Don Berry and wife, Patty, of Cheyenne, Dave Berry of Horse Creek, and Ty Berry and wife, Valerie of Cheyenne; daughter, Sue Ford and husband, Randy, of Cheyenne; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Ford, Travis Ford, T.C. Berry and wife, Kim, Jeff Berry and wife, Tatum, Brett Berry, Karen Daily and husband, Miles, Colby Berry, Cameron Berry, Joshua Berry and Hadley Berry; and two great-grandchildren, Tate and Cooper Berry; sister, Nellie Dryden, of Denver, CO; in-laws, Evelyn DuVall, of Salt Lake City, UT, Margaret Berry, of Cheyenne, and Mary and Elton Wells, of Torrington, along with many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Those who wish may contribute to Meals on Wheels or First United Methodist Church.
