Dorothy Miller

November 4, 1917 — February 23, 2014

Dorothy M. Miller (nee Breed) passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Sterling Inn, Victorville, California. Dorothy was born in Stockton, Illinois on November 4, 1917, the daughter of James and Mamie Breed. She attended school in Hillsdale, Wyoming where her family homesteaded. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1935. On July 1, 1935 she married her husband of 59 years, the late W. H. (Willie) Miller, together they farmed and ranched in Hillsdale until they retired. Dorothy also worked as a cook and waitress. She was a member of the Arcola Helping Hands Club and the Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Dorothy loved dancing, playing cards, cooking and baking, embroidery, sewing and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Phil Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren Sr. Kim Dalgarn of Cincinnati, OH; William and Hyo Son Dalgarn of Stafford, VA; Pam and Frank Chavez of Victorville, CA; Erik and Anitha Anderson of Briarcliff Manor, NY ; Kyle and Sarah Anderson of Sheridan, WY; 12 great-grandchildren: Frank Jr., Julia, Meghan, Robert, Danielle, Luis, Cori, Logan, Kyle, Natanya, Tianna, Morgan, Blake and Kayley, and great-great grandchildren Robert and Adrina; her sister-in-law Gladys (Paul) Breed and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Beverly J. and her husband, Pete Dalgarn, and her brothers Everett and Paul Breed. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 7, 2015 at Schrader Funeral Home in Cheyenne with burial at Memorial Gardens.
