Dorothy June Scribner Tucker, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019.
Dorothy was born to Evan and Jessie (Swihart) Hamer on June 20, 1927 in Carroll, Nebraska.
Dorothy donated many, many hours of service to various Cheyenne organizations for over 60 years.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles L. Scribner and Richard C. Tucker; her parents; her brother, Kenneth Hamer; and by her great-grandson, Carson. She is survived by her children, Curtis (Larry) Scribner, Nancy Scribner and Bill (Gina) Scribner; stepchildren, Joe (Jane) Tucker, Tom (Gail) Tucker, John (Kitty) Tucker, Jim (Ann) Tucker and Anne Slama. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren, Sara (Joseph) Poling and Elizabeth (Lucas) Cirbo; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emma, and Micah; 14 step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Diana Hartman officiating. Interment will follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens at 1:30 p.m..
Donations are requested to go to the Richard and Dorothy Tucker Health Field Fund managed by the LCCC Foundation or to the Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne.
