Duane Yeik

Duane Lee Yeik, 63, of Pine Bluffs died March 6, 2013 at his home. Lee (as he was known by his friends) was born on Feb 18, 1950 in Laramie, WY the son of Calvin D. and Lois Ann (Clary) Yeik. Duane was raised on his parents' farm at Hawk Springs. Following his graduation from Torrington High School in 1968, he joined the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of his service time he lived in the Cheyenne, Pine Bluffs area until his death. At the time of his death, Lee worked for AmeriGas at the Egbert, WY plant. He was a member of the Pine Bluffs Baptist Church of which he was a former trustee. Lee was also a member of the Gate City Lodge #32 A.F. & A. M. Lee is survived by his mother Lois Ann Yeik of Torrington, WY and 2 sisters Sherry McElwain of Ft. Collins, CO and Gail Nordby of Cedar Rapids, IA. Also surviving is his companion Judy Reed of Pine Bluffs. He was preceded in death by his father Calvin, his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pine Bluffs Baptist Church with Pastor Dan DeBruyn officiating. Cremation has take place under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Friends who wish, may contribute to the Pine Bluffs Baptist Church in Lee's name. All services are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
