Dudley Berry, 100, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away early Thursday morning, September 26, 2019 at Davis Hospice Center. Dudley was born February 10, 1919 in Armour, South Dakota, son of the late Percy C. and Bessie (Hrdlicka) Berry. As a young man, Dudley worked as a sheepherder for several local ranches. He later enjoyed working as a carpenter. He was especially proud of being a founding member of the Cheyenne Municipal Trap Club. Dudley is survived by his nephew, John Owens of Bar Nunn, WY; close friends, Doug and Pat Stephen of Boulder, CO, Jon McConnaughey of Cheyenne, Richard McConnaughey of Riverton, WY, Dr. Kirk Colbert of Cheyenne, Sonya Tucker of Cheyenne, and Ruth Benson of Cheyenne; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lenore (Williams) Berry; and two sisters, Beverly Owens and Darlene Burns. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Private interment will take place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy in Dudley's memory may be made to Davis Hospice Center.
