Edith Lang

Edith E. Lang, 100, of Carpenter, WY died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Cheyenne Life Care in Cheyenne. Edith was born on August 12, 1912 at the home of her parents Claude and Lenna (Kendrick) Hardy near Carpenter, WY. She attended and graduated from Carpenter High School in 1930. On March 31, 1934 she married Franklin Lang at Carpenter. She was a member of the Carpenter Methodist Church. Edith is survived by 3 sons Stanley Norman Lang of Carpenter, Nathan Fred Lang of Trophy Club, TX, and Ronald Franklin Lang of Banning,CA, 2 daughters, Cynthia Edith Bodtke of Tensleep, WY and Linda June Cook of Cheyenne. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Franklin, her parents, and 2 brothers Richard Earl Hardy and Arthur Ainsley Hardy. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Carpenter Methodist Church with Rev. Gale Graves officiating. Interment will take place in the Carpenter Cemetery. Contributions to the Carpenter Methodist Church c/o Wyoming Bank and Trust in Burns, WY would be appreciated by the family.
