Edward Colwell

Mr. Edward H. Colwell, 83, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center - East. Mr. Colwell was born June 26, 1930, in Cheyenne, a son of the late Edward L. and Edith R. (Hamilton) Colwell. Edward worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1988 as a material handler. He will be remembered as a "car buff" and a "straight shooter" who was committed to his friends and family. He loved to take road trips with his family during the summer and also enjoyed watching the Rockies and Broncos. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Patricia C. (Kisicki) Colwell of Cheyenne; his son, Gene Colwell and wife, Kiandra, of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Kenyon and Tyler Colwell of Milford, CT; two step-grandchildren, Ethan and Alessandra Siracusano of Denver, CO; and a brother, Philip Colwell of Bangkok, Thailand. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lawrence Colwell; and a sister, Edith Colwell. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A Memory Service will be conducted on Friday, December 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Gale Graves officiating. An interment service will be held at the Lakeview Cemetery with a reception to immediately follow at the Schrader Reception Center.
