Elaine Christopulos

May 28, 1948 — November 4, 2011

Elaine Marie Christopulos, 63, of Cheyenne, formerly of Casper, passed away November 4, 2011. Elaine was born May 28, 1948, in Cheyenne, to George and Esther Christopulos, both of blessed memory. Bidding a temporary farewell, with sadness today but with the hope to be reunited in heaven, are her children; Shawn (Julie) Jacobs, Kristi (Jason) DePoorter, grandchildren; Brenden and Amber Jacobs, Alyssa, Kylan and Tyler DePoorter; siblings; Adrianne (David) Johansen; Fr. Lou (Marsha) Christopulos; Dan (Patty) Christopulos, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, in-laws and hundreds of friends. Elaine's biggest joys in life were her grandchildren, children and family. She was a testament to her faith and her love of life. She wore a smile that brightened any room or mood, and always carried with her a twinkle in her eye. Her laugh was contagious and her love unconditional. She was devoted to her church, family, friends and Wyoming athletics. Elaine was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cheyenne, and formerly Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Casper, where donations in her honor will be accepted. She volunteered her time and talents as a member of her church, Philoptochos, and Daughters of Penelope. She will be sorely missed by those who were privileged enough to have known Elaine. "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which was planted....." Ecclesiastes 3.
