Eldon O. Sandberg, 75, of Cheyenne died August 17, 2014, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was born June 28, 1939, on the family farm north of Burns, Wyoming, to Earnest and Eunice Sandberg. He married Nancy Miller on June 10, 1962, at Golden Prairie Baptist Church where they continued as life-long members. He was a rancher and farmer. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; children, Denise Kelsey of Cheyenne, Brenda Xidis of Valparaiso, IN, Curtis Sandberg of Berea, KY, and Scott Mathis of Torrington, WY, who became part of the family in 1979; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Earnest Sandberg, Jr. of Hillsdale, Norma Deselms of Burns, Darlene Palmer of Wheatland, Sharon Hahn of Grover, CO, and Dale Sandberg of Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eloise Shellhart. Those who wish may contribute to the Albin Ambulance Fund, Golden Prairie Baptist Church or the Davis Hospice Center. His family will home a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. on August 30, 2014 at the Golden Prairie Baptist Church near Burns. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
