Eleanor A. Morasch of Cheyenne died Saturday July 21st at Life Care Center due to complications with aging. Eleanor Arlene Henneberg was born August 27, 1922 in Parker, South Dakota to Julius and Tillie (Schulz) Henneberg. She was married April 30, 1944 to Henry Morasch in Parker, South Dakota. She is survived by a brother, Val Henneberg of Houston, Texas; son-in-law Francis Eickbush of Lindon, Utah; two grandsons, Gregory Eickbush, Winnetka, IL, and David Eickbush, Logan, Utah; 12 great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew and two great-nieces and a great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Candyce Lee Eickbush, her husband, Henry Morasch, a sister, Julia Henneberg Fey and a grandson, Daniel L. Eickbush. She graduated from Parker High School in 1940 and after meeting the necessary qualifications and testing was appointed by the Merit Council of South Dakota to the Department of Social Security for South Dakota, first in Turner County in Parker and later transferred to Union County in Elk Point, South Dakota. In January of 1944 she accepted a position with the Wyott Manufacturing Company in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Here she met her future husband Henry Morasch, who was stationed in Cheyenne as Cost Inspector for the 13th Naval District out of Seattle. Wyott was under Naval contract making valves for the Navy during World War II. Their daughter Candyce was born June 13th, 1947. Through the years Eleanor was active in many organizations, past president of Deming PTA, many years in X-JWC, holding different offices culminating in president, and participating in various community affairs and drives. She and her husband started Medical Management Accounting Service. She was with Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education for several years. When they purchased Fiske Office Supply she eventually went down and became an active part of the ownership. They sold the store in 1979 and retired. She has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1944. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 27, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel. An interment service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
