Elizabeth Chavez

Elizabeth K. Chavez, 93, of Cheyenne, WY, formerly of Farmington, died May 1, 2016 in Cheyenne. She was born December 18, 1922 in Red Rocks, Arizona, to John Long and Lillian Kinsel. She married Esteban Chavez in Aztec, NM and together they owned and operated their own business. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Winifred Abe of Cheyenne, William Abe of Aztec, NM, Ronald Abe of Cheyenne, Robert Yazzie of Waterflow, NM, Kenneth Yazzie of Wells, NV, Manuel Chavez of Forest City, Arkansas and Chris Chaves of Cortez, CO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and siblings, Roscoe Kinsel, Alice Bahe and Joe Kinsel. A Memorial service will be Saturday 2:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne. Services are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
