Elizabeth Roccabruna

Mrs. Elizabeth "Betsy" R. Roccabruna, 74, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on February 16, 2015 at the Davis Hospice Center due to complications from years of battling Dementia and Progressive Supernuclear Palsy. Betsy was born August 1, 1940, in Monett, Missouri, a daughter of the late Russell and Betty Hagar. After graduating from Monett High School, she attended nursing school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Gene "Rocky" Roccabruna on January 2, 1960. Due to her husband's job with the Department of Transportation, they lived in several cities around Wyoming and spent the last 20 years in Cheyenne. She was very active in the church, helping with funeral dinners and the Bishops Guild. She also enjoyed shows at the Civic Center, travelling with her husband, spending time with her family, and baking. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Martha; and granddaughter, Monica. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Rocky of Cheyenne; seven children, Mark Roccabruna of Cheyenne, Julie Estes (Rick) of Sheridan, WY, Gina Anderson(John) of Shell, WY, Teresa Browne (Joe) of Philadelphia, PA, Pamela Roccabruna (Jason Beazer) of Jersey City, NJ, Nancy Overstreet of Cheyenne, and Amanda Eby (Brett) of Helena, MT; two brothers, John and Mike Hagar of Monett, MO; sister, Nancy Pearce of Muskegon, MI; and 19 grandchildren. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, February 21st at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with a reception to follow at Hartmann Hall. Donations in Betsy's memory may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 100 West 21st Street, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
