Ella Hakala

Ella R. Hakala, 93, of Cheyenne, formerly of Rawlins died June 1, 2013 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. She was born September 19, 1919 in Rawlins, WY to Ole and Mary Olson. She married Reino A. Hakala on November 3, 1946 in Rawlins. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rawlins, attended Rawlins High school and the University of Wyoming. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ferguson of Cheyenne; sons, Charles Hakala of Lakewood, CO and Gary Hakala of Hemet, CA; sister Vi Olson of Centennial, CO , five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and siblings, Lillian Newell, Dorothy Itzen, Roy Olson, Frances Moon and Walter Olson. Those who wish may contribute to the St. Joseph's Children Home in Torrington. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and private family services will be held.
