Elsie Marie Wisroth, of Burns passed away on December 28, 2023 in her home at the age of 93. She was born on January 22, 1930.
Elsie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns where she was baptized and confirmed. She was married on June 3, 1950 to Robert W. Wisroth for 65 years.
Elsie was active in her church having taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday school. She was active with the Ladies Aide and helped maintain the church. She was a talented seamstress quilting baby quilts for each baptized infant and donated hundreds of quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She was known for her beautiful gardens. She worked side by side with her husband on their farm and ranch along with raising thousands of chickens and many Holstein calves. She and her husband fostered many young children. In their retirement, they built their dream Geodesic Dome home where they lived 33 years.
Elsie is survived by her brother John Harer of Burns, daughter Diann Kleeman, son Lee Wisroth (Rachel), daughter Leann Hartman (Phillip) and Rosann Tierney (Robert). Elsie is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.
A funeral service with be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns, Wyoming at 11:00 am.
Committal service to follow at the Burns Lutheran Church cemetery.
A light luncheon including chocolate ice cream will be served following the committal service in the basement of Immanuel Lutheran church.
