Erik Salzburg, 36, of Louisville, Colorado passed away October 1, 2019. Erik was born January 12, 1983, in Cheyenne and attended Anderson Elementary, Carey Junior High, and graduated from East High School in 2001. During his school years he enjoyed playing soccer, baseball, skiing and golf. He was working as an electrician. In recent years he took to fly fishing, a family tradition, which became his passion, joy and strength in recovery. Last month he proudly completed the Wyoming Cuttslam with the help of his father and brother. Erik was a good friend, hard worker and always cheerfully willing to help. He was a doting uncle, served as a loving godparent, a devoted son, and an irreplaceable brother. When he wasn't working or fishing he loved to watch the Denver Broncos. He is survived by parents, Bruce and Phyllis Salzburg of Cheyenne; and brother, Max and wife Sonja and son Theo of Medford, OR. Other beloved family members surviving him are Patsy Conner of Little Rock, AR, Mark and Gail Salzburg of Ormond Beach, FL, Ursula Wiedeman of Titusville, FL, and cousins scattered around the country. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Ada Salzburg and Philip and Jane Conner. A memory service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made in Erik's memory to Trout Unlimited, Center for Dependency Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR), or charity of choice.
