Erlinda Cummings

Erlinda Quibol Cummings of Cheyenne passed away June 18, 2014, at the University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, Colorado. She was 64. Erlinda was born July 4, 1949, in Barrio Uribi, City of Santa, Ilocos Sur Province, Republic of the Philippines. She was the fourth of eight children of the late Francisco and Felicula (Meneses) Quibol. Mrs. Cummings graduated with an Associates Degree in Office Occupations from Laramie County Community College in 1988. She worked for the Wyoming Tribune Eagle as a bookkeeper, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service. She was a member of St Mary's Cathedral, and she enjoyed camping, fishing and her garden. Erlinda was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Erlinda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas Cummings; her sons, Richard and Allan; daughters-in-law, Melinda and Deena Cummings; four grandchildren, Kyhler, Amira, Jadyn and Marik (all of Cheyenne); seven siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father August Koeune as celebrant. An interment service will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
