Ernest Pfefferle, 80, of Cheyenne died August 14, 2013 in Cheyenne. He was born September 4, 1932 in Newark, NJ to Ernest and Marie Pfefferle. He married Mary Donohoe on December 22, 1956 in Bloomfield, NJ. He served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War as a navigator/bombardier in EB66, RB66, and B52s, as well as a launch officer for the Minuteman ICBMs before retiring from the Air Force as a Major. He also retired from the State of Wyoming. He was a member of the Air Force Association and the Retired Officers Association. He is survived by his wife, Mary Pfefferle of Cheyenne, children; Kevin (Megan) Pfefferle of Grand Island, NE , Karl (Sarah) Pfefferle of Cheyenne, Margaret P. (Keith) Edwards of Peoria, AZ, Kathryn (Randy)Byers of Cheyenne, Sue P. (Andy) Williams of Denver; grandchildren, Zane & Sigornie Pfefferle, Elise (Collin) Fowlkes, Marie Pfefferle (Paul Krix), Eileen Pfefferle (Michael McKee), Janine Pfefferle (Jason Miles), Hannah (John) Bohlinger, Katelynn (Billy) Moore, Allison Edwards, and Will (Maggie) Byers; great-grandchildren, Terrel Benne, John Bradley Bohlinger and Audrey James Byers. Those who wish may contribute to Cheyenne Botanical Gardens or Davis Hospice Center. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Serenity Gardens Columbarium in Beth El Cemetery with Chaplain David Stratton officiating. Cremation and services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
