Ethel Meyer

Mrs. Ethel Mae (Rote) Meyer, 96, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Davis Hospice Center. Mrs. Meyer was born February 16, 1918, in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of the late Charles C. and Ella (Garner) Rote. Ethel was raised in Henrys Lake, Idaho, and West Yellowstone, Montana. She worked as a sales clerk for Holding's Little America. Her many interests included hunting and serving as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She will be remembered a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Ethel is survived by her sons, Arnold K. Gillis of Cheyenne, and Kenneth C. Gillis of Washington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and a brother. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, July 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Beth El Cemetery.
