Florence "Flory" T. Kennedy

Florence “Flory” T. Kennedy died Sept. 12, 2022.

She was born December 18, 1935 in her home in Ward County, N.D. to Olaf and Borghild Moen. She was the 11^th of a family of 12. Flory graduated from Carpio, North Dakota High School in 1954.

Flory worked retail all of her working life, including 16 years at Jean’s Carriage House in downtown Cheyenne, as well as other retail stores, retiring in 1991.

She married Dwayne Brown on March 8, 1955 in Minot, N.D. They had three children. They divorced in 1969.

On September 29, 1979, Flory married Hugh Kennedy at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cheyenne where she was a member for many years. She taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir.

Flory is survived by daughter, Wanda Richards; life partner, Jerry Hohn; five step-children; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh; sons, Steven Brown and David Brown; grandson, Gary Richards; and all her siblings.
