Floyd Gensel

Floyd D. Gensel, 81, of Pine Bluffs died December 23, 2012 at Davis Hospice Center. He was born August 31, 1931 in Toledo, OH to Harold D. and Grace E. Gensel. He retired from the City of Pine Bluffs in 1993. He was a member of Grace English Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #60 in Pine Bluffs. He also was a retired volunteer fireman in Pine Bluffs. He is survived by his wife Hazel Gensel whom he married on February 24, 1976 in Pine Bluffs; children, Terry (Jim) VanDorn of Cheyenne, Larry (Kay) Peters of Cheyenne and Robert Peters of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Christopher VanDorn of Sarasota, FL and Melinda Campbell of Cheyenne and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. Those who wish may contribute to the Pine Bluffs Senior Center. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m., January 5, 2013 at Grace English Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs with Pastor John Melms officiating. Interment of his urn will follow in Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
