Francis Doehling

Francis C. Doehling, 100, of Denver, Colorado, passed away November 1, 2018 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne surrounded by his loving family. Francis was born April 20, 1918 in Denver the youngest of eight children to Charles J. and Anna E. (Funke) Doehling. Francis lived most of his life in Denver and moved his family to San Paulo, Brazil where they lived from 1951-58 where he worked in the meat packing business. He retired at the age of 62 and spent his remaining years bowling, fishing, golfing and volunteering with the Red Cross and other civic organizations. Francis is survived by his four children, Charles (Diane) Doehling, Carol (Art) Merrell, Robert (Denise) Doehling, John (Diane) Doehling; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and long-time companion, Marian Fischer. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy A. (Smith) Doehling; and his seven siblings. A private family service will be held in Denver.
