Fred R. Lee, 91, of Cheyenne died September 13, 2019 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cheyenne. He was born February 12, 1928, in Des Moines, IA to Myrtle A. And Harry E. Lee. He had lived in Cheyenne since 1974 with prior residence in Des Moines, Ft. Collins and Yerington, NV. He married Lucille Tingle on January 16, 1950 in Des Moines. His greatest joy was his family and friends. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1945-1949. He was a truck driver, having retired from Ward Transport in Cheyenne. He was a former member of American Legion Post #6 and Moose Lodge 257 in Cheyenne. Lee is survived by one son, Ralph "Jim" Hyland of Ft. Collins; daughters, Linda Ballinger of Salt Lake City and Barbara Cummins of Cheyenne; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille in 1998; brothers, Harry "Gene", Tom and Robert Lee; half-sister, Irene and one granddaughter. Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 28th in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Burial of his urn has taken place at Mountain View Memorial Park.
