Frederick Harold Naish, 73, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away November 29, 2017 at his home. Fred was born April 4, 1944 in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. He grew up in North Platte, Nebraska, with his mother, Mary, step-father, Gerad "Red" Magee, and his brother, Albert Naish. Fred excelled in sports. He loved football and baseball and was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan. He especially enjoyed competing. His desire to excel gave him a sense of accomplishment and character that continued throughout his life. He coached baseball in Cheyenne and won many championships. He was very passionate and devoted to all the kids he coached. He also served in Vietnam in the United States Army. Fred meet the love of his life, MaryAnn Rood, at a street dance in Buffalo, Wyoming. They married soon after and they had a wonderful and loving marriage. Fred retired from Consolidated Freightways. His other interests included hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. His grandchildren called him Cookie Monster. He loved playing inside basketball and pinball with them. Fred is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Magee; and his beloved wife, Mary Ann Naish. He is survived by his step father, Gerad "Red" Magee of Cheyenne; brother, Albert Naish and wife, C.J., of Cheyenne; son, Justin Naish and wife, Cheri, of Hemet, California; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren with a third on the way. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
