G. Williamson

Mrs. G. Elaine (Kintzler) Williamson, 77, of Douglas, Wyoming, passed away at her daughter's home in Cheyenne on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Mrs. Williamson was born February 22, 1934, in Merna, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Alvin E. and Lura Mae (Manschreck) Kintzler. Elaine was raised on her family's farm in Pavillion, Wyoming. She married Robert D. Williamson in Wheatland in October 1949. She worked for the Douglas Police Department as a dispatcher for several years until her retirement, and because of her love of people, she worked part-time at Ace Hardware in Douglas. Her many interests included fishing, hunting and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her many friends. Elaine is survived by two daughters, W. Jeannine Weber of Cheyenne, and Charlotte Nicholson of Germany; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Robert D. Williamson; a daughter, Roberta Winters; a grandson, Craig Herman; and a brother, Arlan Kintzler. Visitation will be private. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Southern Baptist Church in Douglas with Pastor John Thomason officiating. An interment service will follow at Douglas Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Elaine's memory may be made to the Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore, Cheyenne, WY 82009.
