Gary Cain

August 19, 1971 — August 26, 2018

Gary W. Cain, 47, of Cheyenne passed away August 26, 2018 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born August 19, 1971 in Cheyenne to Harvey and Virginia Cain. He operated his own body and paint shop and was of Christian faith. He is survived by his siblings, Don Cain of Las Vegas, NV and Kirstie Cain of Cheyenne; nephew, Bret (Danielle) Cain; nieces, Jordan Cain and Amber Cain; great nieces and nephews, Alexandrea Cain, (Best Friend) McKenna Cain, Blake Cain, Brooklyn Wade, Grayson Seivewright, and Everly Seivewright. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Virginia; sibling, Billy Frausto; niece, Xiomara Sophia; and grandparents, Gloria and Elmer Cain and Lorraine and Demitrio Duran. Gary enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews especially his best friend, Alexandrea. Gary enjoyed going to car shows, junkyards, and working on cars with his dad. He loved cooking with his momma. We called Gary "The Gary of all trades". Gary could fix anything. I can't think of anything my brother couldn't do. He could hook up a stereo or build a motor, he could fix the plumbing or fix a roof. One of the things that I respected the most about my brother was that even though he had such a carefree attitude, he also had a serious side. He was very talented. Gary is my "Hero" because of the three of us kids he had the kindest heart. Gary was the one that if he had a dollar and you needed it he would give it to you. If someone was broke down he would pull over and help them out. He always did for others and never expected anything in return. I feel Gary received all of his greatness from our parents. My brother was ten years older than me, but at times I think he felt a lot older than that. My brother was very protective over me. When I was younger I remember that this bothered me, but now that I look back I know that he loved me a lot and wanted what was best for me. He was always there for me when I needed him and I knew that I could talk to him about any problems I had. I trusted my brother a lot and we were both able to share secrets with each other. Gary was a character. He always had a smile on his face and always seemed to have a new joke to tell, just like our father. His easy-going relaxed nature made him a delight to be around. He had a lot of close friends and was always the life of the party with his perfect impersonation of Sylvester Stallone. I will miss my brother more than words can say. I will always be thankful for knowing him and for his time on earth with me. I hope that everyone remembers how wonderful a person he was and that his memory will continue to live on in our hearts and minds. Services will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Reception will follow at the AmVets Post #10, 3839 East Lincolnway, Cheyenne. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to help with final expenses to Kirstie Cain, 205 S. House Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82007.
